Indigo’s Favorite Video Projects of the Year

Book of 2023 on table

2023 was one of Indigo’s best years ever! From collaborations with the world’s biggest celebrities to fundraising films for prestigious charities and video series with broadcast-level production values, there was truly never a dull moment. Here are some of our favorite jobs from the past 12 months. We hope you enjoy these videos as much as we enjoyed working on them.

Celebrities Galore

UNILAD - Get A Job

We partnered with UNILAD to shoot their new “Get a Job” comedy series in which they interview actors about the situations and personal stories that have shaped their lives and careers. This year’s shoots included Tom Holland, Millie Bobby Brown, Liza Koshy, and more! We were just as happy as the celebrity interviewees when UNILAD told us, “You got the job.” Here’s to many more exciting interviews.

Madame Tussauds

It was another year of great collaborations with Madame Tussauds. From the reveal of Awkwafina’s figure to the champagne-filled launch of Billy Porter’s figure, and a few awesome videos we can’t share with you just yet, our work with Madame Tussauds reached new heights in 2023.

7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony and The Kid Mero

It was an honor to lead the production of Carmelo Anthony’s new video podcast with The Kid Mero, “7PM in Brooklyn.” We helped build their studio, and we film and live cut each episode. Engaging, insightful, and witty, the results speak for themselves. Check out the full episodes here.

Bobby Flay and Reserve Properties

We filmed renowned celebrity chef Bobby Flay as he discussed and showcased his partnership with the luxury real estate brand, Reserve Properties. For this project, we dressed a high-end apartment, including the hugely important kitchen, with props, and dynamically covered Bobby Flay as he toured the property and spoke with its architects. Our client was thrilled and shared these kind words,Wow! I can’t say enough good things about Indigo Productions, from start to finish, they exceeded all my expectations. If you’re looking for a video production company that delivers top-notch quality and unmatched creativity, look no further!”

For a Good Cause

amfAR

When amfAR, the world’s leading AIDS research non-profit, asked us to create a fundraising video for their Cannes Film Festival Gala, we were thrilled. We love it when our videos make a real, positive impact on the world. We filmed all over the country and created custom graphics for a video that would speak to the high-profile film industry professionals in attendance and motivate them to open their wallets. Event attendees included Leonardo DiCaprio, Queen Latifah, Eva Longoria, James Marsden, Rebel Wilson, Tobey Maguire, Orlando Bloom, Heidi Klum, Kate Beckinsale, Halsey, Jeffrey Wright, and Adam Lambert. The video got a tremendous reception, including a standing ovation from its A-list audience and over 17 million dollars were raised!

Braving Neuroblastoma

There’s nothing harder than seeing your child battle cancer. But that’s what happened to professional football player Devon Still when his daughter, Leah, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. Thankfully, she fought neuroblastoma and won. Our emotional mini-documentary details her journey, showcasing interviews with the family and b-roll of their day-to-day life. In the end, we created a video designed to make an impact, raising awareness about neuroblastoma and helping other families feel like they are not alone.

The CDC

The CDC unveiled a new HIV testing incentive program, which rewards individuals at risk of HIV when they get others in their network to come in and test. We were hired to create a training video to demonstrate the proper way to explain the new program. We shot and edited this video to capture the atmosphere of a real conversation with a patient, and used high-end production values, including 3 RED cameras, to give this important topic the gravitas it deserves.

The Met Council

Met Council App is used to order food

The Met Council is one of the largest food pantries in New York, providing Kosher and Halal food to the needy. But that’s not all, they also have affordable housing, domestic violence, Holocaust survivor, and benefits programs. We created a video showcasing their holistic charity approach and managed to give each of their many board members a moment in the spotlight. It was a joy to highlight the work of such a great organization.

Times Square Midnight Moments

Midnight Moment Screens in Times Square

2023 continued our monthly collaboration with the Times Square Alliance for their Midnight Moments series, where an artist takes over the screens of Times Square with their visual art. There were many unique and interesting installations that required us to create custom formatting across multiple screens. Check out some of them here.

Briogeo

CEO of Briogeo speaks for Sephora event

Briogeo sells some of the best hair care products on the market, and for their video at this year’s SEPHORiA event by Sephora, they contacted Indigo Productions. Sephora has strict guidelines for video content at their event, but we worked within those confines to highlight Briogeo’s amazing offerings and integrate Briogeo branding, assets, and a presentation by their CEO, Nancy Twine, throughout. The final result was an alluring picture of beauty and the way Briogeo products can bring you closer to the look you’ve always wanted.

Wisely

Roto scope for Wisely by ADP

Wisely by ADP is a card that lets you get paid early and save. We produced a series of :30 and :60 spots, each featuring custom graphics and animations that matched Wisely’s brand guidelines, rotoscoped high-end stock footage, and professional voice-over. For these videos, it was essential to clearly and efficiently convey key points, and to create a positive atmosphere that would encourage viewers to choose Wisely. Wisely loved the spots, and ADP already hired us to produce many more in the new year.

NYSAR

The New York State Association of REALTORS asked us to produce an ethics training series with broadcast TV production values. It required scripting over a dozen interconnected episodes, hiring dozens of actors, securing multiple locations, and many days of nonstop filming, followed by intensive post-production by Indigo’s team of editors. It was a huge undertaking, but we gave it our all, with complex dolly movements, impressive lighting schemes, and final sound and color grading polish to bring the videos to the next level. The final result was an engaging video series with important lessons that will stick with its viewers.

NYU

Title in graudation video

We’ve been working with NYU for more than a decade, but this video was special: a graduation video that played at Radio City Music Hall. We knew how important this video would be to those watching, a recap and celebration of years of hard work. So we came up with a list of interview questions that would bring out the best in the student leaders we spoke to, creating moments of levity and humor as well as emotional reflections on their time at NYU. We took the answers of the students and organized them into a video where each response flowed into the next, developing a compelling narrative of life at NYU. The video was a highlight of the graduation ceremony!
