Indigo and Hunter Public Relations joined forces with Smithfield and Little Big Town country music star Kimberly Schlapman to help feed hungry homes during the holiday season.

We disguised Kimberly as a checkout clerk so she could surprise grocery shoppers with a little holiday cheer.  Kimberly handed out $100 gift cards to everyone in the store, and we captured all the bewilderment, delight, and elation that followed.  Naturally some eagle-eyed shoppers recognized Kimberly from her band, but they were careful not to blow her cover.

All the hard work paid off:  The video and the Lend A Ham social media campaign were a huge success, and Smithfield donated one million servings of protein to food banks across the United States.
